Fast Journal : Day 3

I woke up today and as I got up, I felt super dizzy, as if a rush of blood was flowing into and through my brain. It passes in about 10 seconds, but it was a bit alarming. I tested this some more and observed that I will feel this sensation after a couple minutes of laying down. It's not a big deal as the dizziness doesn't last or distract me during my day to day activities.

Today's the second day of class this week. I walked in with no real issues as everything felt fine and normal. I've felt quite concentrated today. It may be the result my newly gained heightened senses, but nonetheless, I've been productive and attentive in class.

The only thing that has bothered me is that I have these strong cravings for food. I've been drinking water these past few days and the lack of any taste entering my mouth is incredibly boring. Although, I'm craving some food, it's not to be mistaken for hunger; it's but a simple desire to taste something savory or sweet. I've already made a list of things I would like to eat when I break fast. Porridge(sweet), burgers, pizza, dumplings, my mom's homemade buns...

Coming home for a bit, the smell of fresh home cooking has been tempting, though not quite as much as I imagined I would be. I can sustain myself until I end my fast. A low sensation of hunger continues during regular meal times, but it passes in minutes, and even faster when I'm focusing on something.

Despite some discomfort during meal times, I feel that the benefits outweigh it. I can smell things quite well as simply walking through a grocery store, I was immediately aware of the various smells that enveloped me, I am attentive and aware of many things while driving, and I'm feeling as strong as I would be on a full stomach. I just need to apply my willpower during meal times, which isn't a big deal.
